Early showers and a few weak storms will be winding down by mid-morning, as the "cold" front clears the state! Although a damp start this morning, with a few wet roadways...expect a great brighter, afternoon ahead.
Sunshine will build through the late morning, as humidity begins to fall and winds freshen from the northwest at 6-12 mph. Not a major cooldown but drier, less humid air will be a nice changeup after the long, muggy stretch! Expect highs this afternoon returning to the middle 80s.
Tonight will be incredible...under clear skies and drier dew points, we will fall into the middle 60s, the coolest in nearly a week and a half. Enjoy!
Lots of sunshine is anticipated on Thursday and Friday, as the heat begins to build and 90s eventually return. There is a small storm chance on Friday, late afternoon with a concentration in the northeastern part of the state. The Fourth of July holiday weekend will be a hot one, before storms return on Sunday afternoon or evening.
