Report: Train, Jeep involved in crash in Indianapolis

INDIANAPOLIS - Police are investigating a crash between a train and a car that took place on the border of Indianapolis' near northeast and east sides Saturday afternoon.




Police were called to the intersection of Massachusetts Avenue and North Sherman Drive around 2:34 p.m. on a report of a crash, according to a report published by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Police Department. Upon arrival, IMPD discovered that a Jeep Cherokee and a CSX train were involved in the crash.

IMPD's report on the crash indicates at least one person involved in it was seriously injured. Police have yet to make any additional information on the circumstances that led to the crash available either.
