Born from the raw concrete of Sacramento, CA, DONT YOU DARE is a modern rock duo fusing the intensity of nu-metal and metalcore with raw, unfiltered emotion. Vocalist Noah Duarte, a poet turned frontman, joined forces with guitarist Matt English to create a sound that's both therapeutic and confrontational, the foundation of what would become DONT YOU DARE.
Their debut single, "S.O.S.", saw the band come out swinging, generating strong momentum across streaming platforms and rapid audience growth on social media with their second single, "BLACK & BLUE", continuing that momentum. "DIE4ME" takes on the vulnerability of loving someone and wanting to do anything for them but realizing that it is unhealthy and toxic.
Musical influences:
Noah (vocals): Issues, 6lack, Three Days Grace, early 2000s nu-metal, with R&B, pop and EDM elements (Skrillex, Deadmau5).
Matt (guitar): Korn, Arctic Monkeys, Asking Alexandria, Blackbear, underground SoundCloud rap, dark cinematic and Danny Elfman-style film scores.

"DIE4ME is about unrequited love - someone who says everything to keep you around but ultimately shows they don't care. The song intentionally moves from sadness to anger, building to the moment you finally say, 'I'm done'. It's a relatable story for anyone who's loved someone who never truly loved them back." - Noah Duarte, Vocals
