Funeral Portrait Achieves Rare Third Consecutive Mainstream Rock Airplay No. 1 With "Dark Thoughts"

Funeral Portrait claims the top spot on Billboard's Mainstream Rock Airplay chart for January 24 with "Dark Thoughts," marking their third consecutive No. 1 hit. The Atlanta band previously topped the chart with "Suffocate City" featuring Spencer Charnas in 2024, and "Holy Water" featuring Ivan Moody last year. Only three other acts have achieved three or more consecutive No. 1s from their chart debuts. 3 Doors Down accomplished this feat in 2000-01 with "Kryptonite," "Loser," and "Duck and Run." The Pretty Reckless secured four straight hits from 2014-16, while Jelly Roll currently holds a four-song streak beginning in 2022. "Dark Thoughts" also climbed to No. 13 on the Rock & Alternative Airplay chart on the strength of 2.6 million audience impressions, while currently sitting at No. 22 on Hot Hard Rock Songs. The track appears on their 2024 album, Greetings From Suffocate City, which has earned 40,000 equivalent album units.
