LANSDOWNE have some great news for us: their brand new album "Wish You Well" will be released on 27 March, and to celebrate the occasion, another track from the record is now available to listen to. The single is called "Release Me", in which the Boston-based band strikes a quieter, more emotional note without losing any of its power. The song is emblematic of the new album: confrontation instead of repression, pain as a starting point for healing.
"Wish You Well" tells of upheaval and self-assertion. Between heaviness and confidence, it charts the path out of crisis and back to inner stability. This attitude is also reflected in the current radio single "Burn It Down". "This song is about letting go of what is no longer good for you - be it a person, a place or a former version of yourself", explain LANSDOWNE. "It's not about anger, it's about liberation. Sometimes you have to burn everything down to get back up again." The destructive and at the same time liberating power of fire is the focus of the song and the accompanying music video.
The upcoming album "Wish You Well" is the first project to be created as part of the partnership with Odyssey Music Network. Together with the independent label and management company, LANSDOWNE are embarking on the most ambitious chapter of their career. Following the release, the band will embark on a major headlining tour of Europe and the UK. The concert series kicks off on 15 April in Frankfurt, Germany.
