Semi crash forces officials to temporarily close portion of I-70 in Hancock County
HANCOCK COUNTY, Ind. - All lanes of Interstate 70 eastbound were temporarily closed in Hancock County Sunday evening.
According to a notification from the Indiana Department of Transportation, all lanes of the roadway were closed to allow officials to clean up and investigate a crash involving a semi.
INDOT's notification indicates that crash happened sometime before 5:04 p.m. The notification also suggests at least one person was injured in the crash.
As of this article's publication, it is unknown exactly what caused the crash. As of 5:30 p.m., INDOT had not provided an estimate on when I-70 eastbound will reopen.
