Motorhead guitarist Phil Campbell dies at 64

Phil Campbell, longtime guitarist for British rock band Mot rhead, has died at age 64. The band announced his passing on Saturday, calling it a "profound sadness" in an official statement. Campbell served as Mot rhead's guitarist for 31 years after joining in 1984, making him the longest-serving member besides founder Lemmy Kilmister. Following Lemmy's death, Campbell formed Phil Campbell and The Bastard Sons with his sons Todd, Dane and Tyla, recording and touring together for years. The band described him as "a wonderful guitarist, writer, performer, and musician who had Mot rhead in his veins." They praised his guitar skills, sense of humor, and joyful approach to life. Mot rhead was formed in 1975 by Lemmy Kilmister, Larry Wallis and Lucas Fox, achieving fame with hits including "Ace of Spades" and "Overkill."
