Black Diamonds Prep For "Christmas Time"

Swiss hard rockers BLACK DIAMONDS are ringing in the holidays with their brand-new anthem CHRISTMAS TIME. This high-energy, hook-driven rock song would feel perfectly at home in the catalogs of BON JOVI, DEF LEPPARD, or BRYAN ADAMS and saw the light of day last Friday December 5th. It's Christmas music in BLACK DIAMONDS style. Loud, warm-hearted, and irresistibly melodic!
For the band, releasing a Christmas song is anything but a gimmick. "It's not a clich or a marketing gag," they explain. "We actually love Christmas and we've always wanted to write a holiday track. Somehow, we were always either too late, too early, or just not in the right mood." This year things finally aligned though not without pressure. "It was tight and pretty stressful, but it worked out, and we managed to finish the song just in time."
The initial spark came from Chris, whose riff and intro had been around for a while. When the band revisited the idea, they instantly recognized its potential. "We thought it could work perfectly as a Christmas song, so we built the chorus around it." Lyrically and emotionally, CHRISTMAS TIME reflects what the season means to all the members of BLACK DIAMONDS, a period to slow down reconnect, and appreciate the warmth of family and tradition. "For us, Christmas is a time to be with family, to unwind. Whether it's gathering with relatives or strolling through Christmas markets. It's about taking time and letting the world spin a little slower."
Even if the run-up to the holidays tends to be chaotic, the BLACK DIAMONDS members believe people grow a little friendlier at this time of year. And with children in their lives today, the season has taken on an even deeper meaning. "You start remembering your own childhood, and we try to keep certain traditions alive." One tradition they won't be reviving, though, is traditional sing-along Christmas carols. "We all always hated the group singing with those old songs on repeat," the band admits with a grin. "That's why a good rock song is exactly what was missing."
