French Modern-Progressive Rockers Seven Eyed Crow drop new album 'Emerge'

For fans of progressive music that refuses to stay in a box, this is a journey through ten tracks of heavy djent riffs, jazz-inflected rhythms, and post-rock textures. From the biting social commentary of the lead single "Gaslighted" to the sprawling complexity of the full record, Emerge explores the friction of the modern world with precision and soul.
After a decade of sonic evolution, the French modern progressive quintet has arrived at its most ambitious milestone yet. Moving beyond the visceral grit of their earlier work, this 10-track experience is a masterclass in contrast-fusing djent-metal precision with the expansive fluidity of jazz and post-rock.
'Emerge' isn't just a technical display; it's a conceptual confrontation with the modern psyche, tackling the excesses of capitalism and the climate crisis through a lens of raw, imaginative intensity.
...For the record...
Formed in 2013 by Aur lien (guitar) and Tom (bass), the band quickly evolved into a five-member sonic laboratory with Alex (guitar), Fredo (drums), and Jay (vocals). Their name evokes a crow with seven eyes, able to see across seven dimensions-past, present, future, hell, purgatory, paradise, and dream-a concept reflected in their music's depth and imagination.
From early releases like 'Dark Ways to the Sun' (2015) and 'Organized Chaos' (2018), to the critically acclaimed 'Icarus' EP (2022), the band has continually evolved, adding bassist Yoann Roy to bring fresh groove and audacity. Their latest album represents the culmination of ten years of experimentation: a dense, ambitious collection where progressive metal meets jazz, fusion, and high-flying melody.
