Sheriff: Woman pronounced dead after being hit by Jeep in Madison County
MADISON COUNTY, Ind. -- A woman was pronounced dead after she was reportedly hit by a vehicle in Madison County on Wednesday morning.
According to a news release from the Madison County Sheriff's Department, deputies responded to the 9100 block of South CR150 West at around 9:40 a.m. on Wednesday on a report of a vehicle/pedestrian crash.
Officials said a woman was pronounced dead after she was reportedly struck by a Jeep on Wednesday. The release said that the Jeep was reportedly being driven by a 17-year-old.
The accident continues to be investigated by the Madison County Sheriff's Department's accident investigation team. The identity of the woman is expected to be released by the Madison Coroner's Office once her family has been notified.
