Skid Row has launched a worldwide search for a new lead vocalist, partnering with music retailer Sweetwater for open auditions. The hard rock band needs a replacement after singer Erik Gr nwall left in early 2024, with Halestorm's Lzzy Hale temporarily filling the role during live performances on a tour that finished in June 2024. "This is not a contest or a gimmick," the band stated. "It's a genuine search for the right voice, presence, and authenticity to carry Skid Row forward." Sweetwater's Nick Bowcott said, "I first saw Skid Row play in New Jersey before they were signed, and they totally blew me away with the sheer quality of their songs, and the infectious high-energy of their performance." The band shared encouragement to all possible applicants, "If you've got the voice, the attitude, and the fire - step up." Interested singers can submit audition videos with no official submission deadline set.
