Storms overnight in central Indiana ahead of a few warmer and sunny days

Fantastic Easter Sunday
As forecast, the rain stayed away and the sun boldly returned to our skies today! It made for a fantastic Easter Sunday with rising temperatures well into Sunday evening. As of this writing, Indianapolis reached 76° for a high. This makes the warmest Easter Sunday since 2016 as highs are nearly 10° above normal.
Storms on the way; severe threat stays west
However, all good things must come to an end. Clouds will be on the rise Sunday evening ahead of a cold front and storms. A few pop-up storms are possible before Midnight with the main line arriving overnight.
These will be nocturnal storms with these occurring while most of us are sleeping. It wouldn't surprise me if a few of the stronger storms wake you up. These should remain below severe limits but thunder, lightning and quick downpours are possible overnight. Storms will move through west to east with peak coverage between 3-5 a.m. across central Indiana.
While we definitely do not need anymore rainfall, many spots could receive an additional quarter of an inch to half an inch of rain with this wave. Because of this, expect some wet grass and pavement heading to work and school Monday morning.
Quick changes begin Monday
While Monday morning starts wet, a cold front will pass through following the storms. This will usher in breezy west winds and slightly cooler temperatures. Expect high temperatures on Monday in the mid-to-upper 60s. The day will start cloudy but some sun will come back out in the afternoon.
Then, the following days will be fantastic with mild highs in the 70s to near 80°. Not to mention skies will be abundantly sunny both Tuesday and Wednesday. We'll remain mild through the workweek with rain chances returning late Thursday through early Saturday.
