Summer heat wave continues for the Brickyard 400

Good morning and happy Sunday! Temperatures out the door have been sitting in the upper 70's to lower 80's across the state. We have seen a mix of clouds and sun most of Central Indiana has been dry! This will continue for much of the morning hours.

If you are heading to the track for eh Briackhyard 400, make sure you grab extra water as it will be hot and humid at the track. Highs will climb into the upper 80's to lower 90's with a spotty storm or two possible.

The heat continues into Monday as highs return to the lower 90's with partly sunny skies. The heat index will continue to push over 100°. A stray storm is possible, but most of us will remain dry.

A cool down is on the way by the end of the week as a cold front will bring In cooler air for the weekend!
