INDIANAPOLIS - Neighbors keeping you up at night with a seemingly never-ending Fourth of July celebration?
You might find yourself wondering, "Just how long are they allowed to keep setting off fireworks anyway?"
The good news for those looking to hit the hay (and bad news for the explosive pyrotechnic lovers) is that all things must end - including illuminating the sky with sparks and fire.
Across Indiana, cities set ordinances that permit when fireworks are allowed to be ignited and discharged, along with limiting how late into the night revelers can celebrate before police deliver a citation.
For most cities, July 9 is the last night to celebrate Independence Day before the fireworks have to be packed away (at least until New Year's Eve).
