This morning, out-the-door, expect another cool and dry one, as temperatures hold in the lower 50s and upper 40s in spots. Clouds have lightly increased overnight but dry weather is holding for the morning rush hour with sunshine mixed in. A great start!
This afternoon will bring an increase in thicker clouds but still some sun will peek in from time to time. Northeasterly winds should remain fairly light at 5-10 mph, as highs reach seasonal levels in the middle to lower 70s. Although a spotty shower threatens out west, most of our day will remain dry and pleasant. Very seasonal and quiet. If a shower is to make its way into Indiana, expect it late in the afternoon, extremely isolated, and in our western counties.
A greater chance of scattered showers and storms will be present in the overnight through early Tuesday morning, as a warm front lifts into the area. Some heavier downpours should be expected, as temperatures hold in the middle 50s.
Tuesday afternoon will bring additional rain and storms, heavy in spots, as temperatures warm into the upper 60s. A few stronger storms will be possible, especially for the southern half of the state. Some hail and gustier winds should be expected in a few of these taller storms.
Cooler air to flow in on Wednesday and take us through the remainder of the workweek. Both Wednesday and Thursday will bring spotty showers and breezy conditions at times before stable air returns on Friday and into race day on Sunday!
