Barry Manilow is cancer-free following successful lung surgery to remove stage 1 cancer. The singer underwent a lobectomy late last year and spent seven days in intensive care. "I'm one of the lucky ones," Manilow told People magazine. "This really rocked me, but I'm getting stronger." The cancer was discovered early when doctors found a spot during an MRI ordered after Manilow battled bronchitis. "If he hadn't done that, man... He saved my life, because there's no symptoms for what I had," Manilow said. The experience forced him to cancel Las Vegas Christmas shows and postpone his arena tour. Manilow avoided additional treatments like chemotherapy due to early detection. His rescheduled tour launches April 13 at UBS Arena in New York, with new album "What a Time" releasing June 5th.
