Barry Manilow Reveals He Will Undergo Surgery To Remove "Cancerous Spot" On Lung, Postpones Shows

Barry Manilow announced that he will undergo surgery to remove a "cancerous spot" on his left lung discovered after the 82-year-old singer completed his Christmas concerts, following a prolonged bout of bronchitis. Reassuring fans, Manilow said doctors believe the cancer has not spread, and he will not require chemotherapy or radiation, only a month-long recovery that he jokes will include "just chicken soup and 'I Love Lucy' reruns." As a result of his upcoming procedure, Manilow has rescheduled his January arena concerts and several shows in early 2026, but looks forward to returning for his Valentine's weekend performances in Las Vegas. Manilow ended his message on a positive note by writing: "I hope you have a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year. And remember, if you have even the slightest symptom...get tested! I'll see you at the Westgate Las Vegas for Valentine's!"
