Bob Dylan Launches 2026 Tour With Acoustic Setup, Rare Eddie Cochran Cover

Bob Dylan kicked off his 2026 Rough & Rowdy Ways tour Saturday at Omaha's Orpheum Theater with significant changes to his usual format. He replaced his grand piano with a small keyboard center stage and had guitarists Bob Britt and Doug Lancio play acoustic instead of electric instruments. Dylan performed only six songs from Rough & Rowdy Ways compared to his typical nine. The setlist included surprises like "The Man in the Long Black Coat," played for the first time since 2013, and Eddie Cochran's "Nervous Breakdown," which Dylan had never performed live before. Technical difficulties plagued the show as Dylan struggled with microphone placement throughout the evening. "The loudest instrument of the night was the microphone stand as it hit the stage floor," fan Matt Simonsen reported. Despite audio issues, fans noted Dylan's voice sounded strong when properly positioned at the microphone.
