Fleetwood Mac's "Landslide" Finally Hits Billboard Hot 100 Chart After 50 Years

Fleetwood Mac's beloved fan-favorite, "Landslide," has entered the Billboard Hot 100 chart at No. 41 more than five decades after its original release in 1975. The classic track gained new life following its use in Netflix's Stranger Things series finale on New Year's Eve. The song generated 7 million U.S. streams, up 43% week over week, plus 888,000 radio impressions and 1,000 downloads during the tracking week of January 2-8. Written solely by Stevie Nicks for the band's self-titled 1975 album, "Landslide" was never released as an official single despite becoming a signature song. This marks Fleetwood Mac's 26th Hot 100 hit of their legendary career, and the band's first new chart debut in 23 years since "Peacekeeper" made the tally in March 2003. The achievement places Fleetwood Mac among an elite group of artists with Hot 100 debuts spanning five decades, joining The Beatles, Isley Brothers, Rolling Stones, and Santana in this rare distinction.
