Foreigner's Lou Gramm Announces New Solo Album, 'Released,' Featuring Old Vault Recordings

Former Foreigner frontman Lou Gramm will put out his new solo album, Released, on March 27th, featuring previously unreleased 1980s recordings. The collection includes 10 original songs co-written by Gramm and former Black Sheep bandmate Bruce Turgon. Gramm stated, "My new album Released is a collection of unreleased songs that were recorded in the 1980s during the production of my 3 previous solo albums," calling the project "a real nostalgia trip." The album's lead single, "Young Love," features bassist Tony Franklin, Def Leppard guitarist Vivian Campbell, and Gramm's brother Ben on drums. Gramm explained "When I pulled these songs out of the vault, I knew I had to finish them for my fans around the world, so they can experience what I did when I first heard them after all these years." Though Gramm is no longer a full-time Foreigner member, the 75-year-old singer occasionally performs with the band and will join them for Florida shows in April.
