Neil Young To Be Honored By Margo Price, Rhiannon Giddens, And Jesse Welles At Pre-Grammy Americana

On Tuesday (January 20), the Americana Music Association announced that it will celebrate Neil Young at its annual AmericanaFest Pre-Grammy Salute at West Hollywood's Troubadour. The event will take place on Saturday, January 31, on the eve of the Grammy Awards, with confirmed performers including Grammy nominees Jesse Welles, Margo Price, Rhiannon Giddens, I'm With Her, Maggie Rose, Molly Tuttle, and Sierra Hull. Additional artists set to participate are the Milk Carton Kids, Chris Pierce, Young the Giant, Katie Pruitt, Leif Vollebekk, Gold Star, Evangeline, and Alex Amen. Producer Michelle Aquilato said six more performers will be added before the show. "We are proud to continue our longstanding pre-Grammy salute tradition, and I can't wait to see our extraordinary performers honor Neil and his incredible songs," stated Jed Hilly, Americana Music Association executive director. The $200 tickets benefit MusiCares and the Americana Music Association and Foundation. Previous honorees include John Hiatt, Paul Simon, Loretta Lynn, and Willie Nelson.
