Paul McCartney And Wings Documentary 'Man On The Run' Set To Premiere On Prime Video

A new documentary about Paul McCartney's band Wings will debut on Amazon Prime Video on February 27. Man on the Run, directed by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Morgan Neville, explores McCartney's formation of Wings with his wife Linda following The Beatles' breakup in 1970. The film features rare archival footage and new interviews with McCartney. "It was about trying to do something different," McCartney says in the newly released trailer. "When we started Wings, it was about freedom." Despite their initial poor reception, Wings achieved massive success during its 10-year run from 1971 to 1981. The band scored five No. 1 albums on the Billboard 200 chart on the strength of a succession of hit singles including "Band on the Run," "My Love," "Jet," and "Live and Let Die." McCartney also addresses his complicated relationship with his Beatles songwriting partner John Lennon in the clip, saying they were "growing apart" but "we loved each other all our lives."
