Good morning! It is a bit unsettled to start your Wednesday, as scattered showers are moving across the state. This will mark a humid, warm start, with a few wet roadways...along with a cloudier start. Out-the-door temperatures will hold in the lower 70s. Keep the umbrella handy.
By late morning/early afternoon, shower chances will diminish, as sunshine begins to work back in. Warmer conditions will take hold, too, as highs will reach the upper 80s. A few storms will be possible with most developing east of Indianapolis through the early evening. A better chance should arrive overnight, as a cold front nears the state from the northwest.
Additional storms will remain on Thursday in spots with highs in the 80s again. No big shift in the pattern until early Friday, behind the cold front. This will mark a punch of slightly drier air (lower dew points) Friday afternoon with more isolated shower chances for the southern third of the state.
The tropical air will reload on Saturday, bringing more rain and storms for the weekend! Clustered storms will likely bring heavier downpours, stronger gusts and lightning. Some local flooding will be possible.
