Another incredible start this morning under clear skies and comfortable temperatures out-the-door. Expect a bright sunrise and a few pockets of patchy fog (low-lying spots) around the state during the rush hour.
This afternoon, winds will turn breezier, from the southwest, as temperatures heat up into the middle 80s. Dry weather will hold throughout the day, but dew points will jump a bit, marking a slight bump in mugginess.
This evening, clouds will begin to lower and thicken, with a front approaching from the northwest. Rain chances will begin to impact a few counties as early as 8 p.m. and will continue through the overnight statewide. A few storms could be in the mix with lightning and perhaps a few stronger gusts in spots.
Showers will exit early on Thursday and eventually sunshine will build in by the afternoon and into the early evening, under a cooler flow. Another front sneaks in on Friday with a weaker shower chance before another autumn taste takes hold this weekend!
