A "cold" front is on the move this morning across the state! This will add to some cloud cover out-the-door, as dry weather holds for most during the morning rush hour. Mugginess is still holding, as temperatures hover in the lower 70s, with some patchy fog around through 9 a.m.
This afternoon, additional clouds will redevelop, as a few showers or a storm dot the area, especially south and southeast of Indianapolis. This is due to the sluggish movement of a cold front and some daytime heating. Expect highs today to reach seasonal levels (85°) in most locations before clearing skies this evening.
Tonight brings a drop in humidity and calm, north winds. Expect a beautiful overnight and refreshing start Thursday morning. Lows tonight into the middle 60s.
Thursday will be my "Pick of the Week" with a blend of clouds and sun, drier air (lower humidity) and seasonal temperatures. Enjoy!
Heat is back by Friday and a surge in higher humidity returns this weekend, marking one of the hottest weekends this summer.
