Scattered showers and storms have arrived just in time for your Friday morning rush. A few heavy downpours, some lightning and a gust or two should be expected before noon! Temperatures will be mild and warming through the morning, as winds begin to increase from the southwest. Out-the-door temperatures will hold in the 50s, for most, before a warming surge gets underway.
This afternoon, sunshine will emerge and winds increase to 30-35 mph, as temperatures skyrocket across the state under dry conditions! By late afternoon, areas highs will hover in the upper 70s, marking the warmest in two weeks!
Tonight, dry weather holds and mild temperatures too, as the southwest winds remain breezy! A great night downtown for Purdue fans and everything March Madness!
Saturday brings a thickening in clouds, as shower chances slowly return by the afternoon and into the evening. Still warm but a bit unsettled!
Sunday could bring some stronger, if not, severe storms to the state! We will monitor, as needed, while a strong cold front sweeps the state. This will return us to cooler air by Monday and into Tuesday morning.
