Demarcus Walker led the Bulldogs as they shut out Douglass at Lakewood 29-0. The win was the Bulldogs third in a row and improved their record to 3-3. Douglass dropped to 2-4 and look to rebound next week against Decatur while Washington will take on Therrell in the Atlanta Football Insider Game of the Week.
B.E.S.T. 0 Wesleyan 17
The B.E.S.T. Academy Eagles were shutout on the road at Wesleyan 17-0. AFI player of the year front runner Deshawn Waller was held in check, gaining only 88 yards from scrimmage in the loss. The Eagles are off next week before they get back at it against KIPP.
Carver 32 Creekside 29
The Carver Panthers pulled off their biggest win of the season, knocking off defending state champion Creekside under the lights at Lakewood. Running backs Gregory Payton and Quentin Gates both rushed for over 100 yards as the Panthers rolled up 330 yards on the ground. The defense was outstanding recovering a total of 5 Creekside fumbles on the night. The win sets up a showdown in 2 weeks with AFI #2 Mays in what should decide their region and the Atlanta Football Insider team of the year.
Grady 22 Columbia 28
The young Grady Knights fell on the road at Columbia 28-22. The loss dropped the Knights to 3-3 on the year. Grady looks to get momentum back next week as they take on Marist for Homecoming.
Jackson 22 Towers 20
The Jackson Jaguars jumped out to an early 22-0 lead and held off a late surge from Towers on Friday. The prolific Keenan Moore to Orenzo Smith combo was on full display as Moore threw 2 touchdowns, 1 to Smith, who tallied 116 receiving yards. The Jaguars travel next week to North Clayton.
Therrell 14 Blessed Trinity 58
Therrell fell behind 51-0 at the half on the road at Blessed Trinity before winning the second half 14-7, and ultimately losing 58-14. The Panthers take on Washington for homecoming and the Atlanta Football Insider game of the week on Friday at Grady.

The North Atlanta warriors loss a close one on friday to Forsyth Central 7-0. The loss was the 6th in a row for the Warriors as they get a week off before taking on Kell.
