"Wicked: For Good" Soundtrack to Feature Two New Songs, Release Set for Nov. 21

The soundtrack for "Wicked: For Good" will be released Nov. 21, coinciding with the premiere of the film's sequel in theaters, Universal Pictures announced Wednesday. The album will feature 11 songs, including two brand-new tracks written specifically for the movie adaptation.

Alongside classics from the original Broadway production-such as "Thank Goodness/I Couldn't Be Happier," "As Long as You're Mine" and "For Good"-the soundtrack will introduce "No Place Like Home," performed by Cynthia Erivo, and "The Girl in the Bubble," performed by Ariana Grande. Erivo stars as Elphaba and Grande as Glinda in the film.

Stephen Schwartz, composer of the original stage musical and contributor to the film's music, said in a statement, "I'm especially happy that the soundtrack album for 'Wicked: For Good' has so much new music on it. In addition to two brand new songs, there is a lot that's new in several other existing songs. So not only listeners coming to the score for the first time, but longtime fans of the original Broadway cast album will have a great deal to discover."

In a December interview with Variety's podcast, Erivo shared that "No Place Like Home"-which she co-wrote with Schwartz-will be an emotional addition to the score. "I don't know if you're ready for it," she said. "I feel like the song is very, very special. I have a feeling that even the title will move you."

The first "Wicked" soundtrack debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 in November 2024, marking the highest debut for a big-screen adaptation of a stage musical.
