Layna Lae Challenges Creators Around the World to Make Digital Content More Accessible Following Ass
After a successful 2022 conference where participants connected again in person, the Center on Disabilities kicked off it's 38th Annual CSUN Assistive Technology Conference at the Anaheim Marriott in California from March 13 - 17, 2023. For Southern Maryland-based urban pop artist Layna Lae- attending the 2023 conference was simply to support her best friend/manager. The robust conference experience which included educational sessions, vendor exhibits, social events and an appearance from Grammy award-winning recording artist Stevie Wonder- shined a light on how much inclusivity and accessibility was missing from within the creative digital space.
"I attended a session which educated me on how we live in a society where the lack of accessibility creates anxiety and it was eye opening" Layna Lae told Love A11Y- an organization whose slogan is "How do you get people to care about accessibility?". As an Artist whose recently spoke out about her battle with anxiety in her new single "Throw It All Away"- this touched home for Layna Lae, and she wants to continue to do her part to promote mental wellness even outside of her music; and that includes joining the movement to care for accessibility by helping to educate fellow artists and challenging them to make their digital content more accessible, while promoting inclusivity and accessibility within her creative network.
