BigXthaPlug has expanded his hit sophomore album Take Care with three new tracks for the projects

BigXthaPlug has expanded his hit sophomore album Take Care with three new tracks for the projects deluxe version.
Take Care (Deluxe) was released on Friday (January 24). The songs not found on the original version of the album, released last October, are Holy Ground (featuring Jessie Murph), Life of a Boss, and Comes & Goes (featuring Tommy Newport).
The Dallas rapper has been making major waves recently. Even prior to Take Care, enough people were taking notice that HipHopDX selected him as one of the Rising Stars of 2024.
Another gem hailing from Texas, BigXthaPlug (real name Xavier Landum) has drawn comparisons to the likes of famed Swishahouse rapper Mike Jones, flaunting a raw, resonant tone, the outlet said in January of last year.
Making waves in 2023, the 24-year-old ruled the Lonestar state with his attention-grabbing debut album, Amar. Elsewhere, singles like Mmhmm secured his debut on the Billboard Hot 100, while the collaborative track Climate with Offset made its mark at No. 48 on Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs.
With three projects under his belt, including Bacc From the Dead (2020) and Big Stepper (2022), along with an OG Ron C Chopped Not Slopped version of the latter, BigXthaPlug has proven hes a force with enduring stamina.

You can listen to the deluxe version of Take Care, including the three new songs, below.
Take Care the non-deluxe version was selected as HipHopDXs sixteenth-best album of 2024. It beat out projects from major names like J. Cole, Big Sean and Chief Keef.
BigXThaPlug is a Dallas rapper whos hit upon a powerful musical idea: soul music-influenced beats, but with modern trap drums. All of Take Care sticks to that template to great effect, and Xs voice is striking, HHDX wrote in its year-end wrap up.
However, there is one major drawback: he sticks to a Migos-esque triplet rhythm through the entirety of every song, which makes for monotonous listening. If BigX puts as much thought and energy into his rhythms as his beats in the future, the sky is the limit.
