After months of keeping a low profile, J. Cole has made a bold return, joining forces with ASAP Rocky on their new track, "Ruby Rosary." Produced by The Alchemist, the song delivers a haunting atmosphere, perfect for the duo's sharp lyricism and clever wordplay. The moody, understated beat provides a spacious canvas for both artists to flex their lyrical skills, creating a brooding anthem aimed at their detractors.
The Alchemist had previously hinted at a collaboration with J. Cole, and "Ruby Rosary" fulfills that promise. However, fans still eagerly await Cole's highly anticipated project, The Fall-Off, suggesting that even more music may be on the horizon.
"Ruby Rosary" marks the second single from ASAP Rocky following the delay of his upcoming album, Don't Be Dumb. His earlier release, "Tailor Swif," leaked ahead of time, but that didn't stop Rocky from dropping it.
While Rocky hasn't given a specific reason for the album delay, he did reveal that filmmaker Tim Burton is a fan of his work. After previewing the album for Burton, Rocky shared, "He was nodding his head and said, 'I didn't know you made that kind of music!'"
