The Michigan music scene is alive with independent rock artists writing and recording new music in every part of the state.  While 517Rocks.com is primarily a classic rock station, we feel it's important to promote and support local, Michigan-centric artists who are producing some killer tunes.  That's why you'll hear at least one Michigan-based new rock song per hour throughout the day and it's why the 5:00 Michigan Rock Block was born.
