Peace Tr3 Fam, recently after finishing a gig at Duke University I found myself feeling unfulfilled on my journey. The ride home is when I get lost in my thoughts, normally I'm reflecting on the show I just did or I'm thinking about my goals. This time was my mind was on another level, I asked myself why am I settling? When am I going to move on from being the $75-$100 per hour DJ? When am I going to spin at bigger events?
Don't get me wrong, I'm very grateful to be able to this for a living full time but there are things I want to accomplish. What could that possibly? I'm already fortunate enough to live off DJing right, man I want to travel the world and share my craft. I want to spin at festivals, inspire people, and make an impact. Great DJs like Khaled has pushed the culture to new levels, and I want to be part of that experience. Now my version of success is going to be different from Khaled's and other great DJs, and that's cool. I want to push the culture to a new level my own way that will still make an impact.
Just recently on my podcast I spoke about being specific about what you want out of life, so I'm going to take my own advice and share with you all what I want to accomplish in my DJ career:
1. Lock in residencies with major venues like Hard Rock Cafe, Harrah's,
2. Book festivals and brand events
3. Create residual income
4. Inspire my generation and generations to come.
I'm switching up the direction of my blog and vlogs, I'm documenting the entire journey and still sharing tips along the way. This should be fun.
