Grammy-winning rapper T.I. has some much-needed commentary in the debate over whether or not a white female rap fan should receive a pass for dropping the N-bomb during Kendrick Lamar's recent concert performance.
A screenshot has surfaced of Tip low-key weighing in on the debate. Earlier in the week, footage emerged of K. Dot's on-stage encounter at the Hangout Festival event.
Delany promised she knew all the words, n-word included ... and after dropping it 3 times ... Kendrick had to stop everything. She was clueless at first, responding, "Am I not cool enough for you?" The crowd started booing and Kendrick was shocked, and told her she needed to bleep one word. Delaney was apologetic, and the show continued. Kendrick was forgiving, but the crowd was not.
Last month, Bad Boy Records CEO Diddy celebrated Lamar winning a Pulitzer Prize for his DAMN. album.
A Pulitzer Prize executive recently provided some context behind Lamar landing the game-changing award.
"The time was right," Dana Canedy, the administrator of the prizes, said in an interview after the winners were announced. "We are very proud of this selection. It means that the jury and the board judging system worked as it's supposed to - the best work was awarded a Pulitzer Prize." She added: "It shines a light on hip-hop in a completely different way. This is a big moment for hip-hop music and a big moment for the Pulitzers." (New York Times)
