Lauryn Hill Pays Tribute To Drake After Wireless Festival Appearance

Lauryn Hill has paid tribute to Drake after she made a surprise appearance during his headline performance at Wireless Festival in London.
Hill made a brief cameo at the end of Drake's set for a joint version of "Nice For What" which heavily samples the Fugees legend's classic hit "Ex-Factor".
Following the appearance, Hill wrote on Instagram: "It was lovely seeing the massive London crowd Day 1 of Wireless. Thank you Drake for extending the invitation. Thank you to Burna Boy and team for opening up their set on Day 2 of Wireless, we truly appreciate it.
"Let us remember and never forget that we are a massive people FULL of gifts and talents. Let no scheme of divisiveness or sabotage cause us to lose sight of that."
Hill was one of a number of special guests brought out by Drake over the weekend where he headlined every night of the UK based festival.
The 6 God also shared the stage with the likes of Skepta, Central Cee, 21 Savage, Latto, Sexyy Red, Burna Boy, Bryson Tiller and many more including 2000's R&B mainstays Bobby V and Mario as well as Hill's son YG Marley.
Earlier this year, Hill also made a surprise appearance at Roberta Flack's funeral, performing a rendition of "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face" followed by "Killing Me Softly" alongside Wyclef Jean and Stevie Wonder.
Hill, who famously reworked "Killing Me Softly With His Song" as part of theĀ Fugees, appeared incredibly emotional at the ceremony and said to those in attendance: "Her existence was a form of resistance. I adore Ms. Roberta Flack. Roberta Flack is legend."
Wonder then performed "If It's Magic" and "I Can See The Sun" by himself.
He also shared some words at the service, saying: "The great thing about not having the ability to see with your eyes is the great opportunity of being able to even better see with your heart. And so I knew how beautiful Roberta was, not seeing her visually but being able to see and feel her heart."
Hill also said after Flack passed away: "'Killing Me Softly,' a song Mrs. Flack didn't write but made hugely popular, became the song that catapulted myself and the Fugees into household phenomena. We wanted to honor the beauty and brilliance of this song and her performance of it to our generation."
