BLACKPINK announced Wednesday that its highly anticipated new album is set to arrive Feb. 27.
The album, titled "Deadline," was announced via the K-pop group's social media accounts. According to an Instagram post, it will be a mini album. No additional details have been released. The title of the upcoming release is the same as the group's world tour, which began July 5-6 at the Goyang Sports Complex in South Korea. The shows marked the first time Jennie, Jisoo, Ros and Lisa had performed together as a unit since 2023.
The members had taken time off from group activities to focus on personal projects, including solo albums and acting roles. Jennie appeared in HBO's "The Idol," while Lisa is set to appear in season three of "The White Lotus."
Ahead of the "Deadline" World Tour in 2025, BLACKPINK reunited to record "Jump," a high-energy new song released July 11. The track debuted and peaked at No. 28 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the chart dated July 28 and remained on the chart for 10 weeks.
In a January 2025 Billboard cover story, Jennie said she missed the other members during their hiatus for solo activities. She added that big things are ahead for the group: "I want to say it's going to be the most powerful versions of ourselves that anyone has seen."
