Ariana Grande Teases New Music Video "Hate That I Made You Love Me" Featuring Justin Long

LOS ANGELES - Ariana Grande released a new teaser Wednesday for the music video of her upcoming single, "Hate That I Made You Love Me." The video features actor Justin Long driving a car, glancing in the rearview mirror, and finding Grande's eyes staring back at him as the music intensifies.

The teaser ends with the single's title shown in bold yellow lettering, echoing the style of posters for the 1986 film "The Hitcher." Grande also tagged director Christian Breslauer, who directed her 2025 MTV Video Music Award-winning short film "Bright Days Ahead."

Long's appearance continues Grande's practice of featuring well-known actors in her videos. Past co-stars include Jonathan Bennett in "Thank U, Next" (2019), Charles Melton in "Break Up With Your Girlfriend, I'm Bored" (2020), Penn Badgley in "The Boy Is Mine" (2024), and Evan Peters in "We Can't Be Friends" (2024).

"Hate That I Made You Love Me" leads Grande's upcoming eighth studio album, "Petal." Grande and ILYA serve as executive producers. This marks her first album since her Oscar-nominated role as Glinda in "Wicked" (2024) and "Wicked: For Good" (2025).

Grande's previous album, "Eternal Sunshine," debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2024. It produced two Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 singles, "Yes, And?" and "We Can't Be Friends." After the release of its deluxe edition, "Brighter Days Ahead," the album returned to the top of the Billboard 200 in 2025, featuring the top 20 hit "Twilight Zone."

"Petal" will release July 31, during Grande's 41-date Eternal Sunshine Tour. The North American and European tour begins June 6 at Oakland Arena in California and ends with 10 shows at London's O2 Arena.
