Doja Cat Calls on Elon Musk to Restore Voice Note Feature on X

Doja Cat urged Elon Musk to bring back the public audio post feature on X, formerly known as Twitter, in a series of posts Wednesday night.

"Hey Elon, if you see this, please put the audio post feature back on here," Doja Cat wrote.

She followed with pointed comments directed at Musk, including, "Thanks, you frog build looking [expletive]. Barrel chested Ewok, you look like you eat sand."

After a fan noted she had not tagged Musk's account, Doja Cat responded in another post, tagging Musk and repeating her request. She added, "Thanks, you hairless no-neck having chimpanzee. Face look like it was drawn from memory. When you swim on your back at the beach [expletive] look like a man o' war. Hourglass ankles. Not trying to be mean though sorry." She pinned this post to the top of her feed.

Musk has not responded publicly to Doja Cat's comments. Requests for comment sent to X owner Musk's company, xAI, were not immediately returned.

The public Voice Note feature was removed from X in early 2025. Users can still send audio messages privately.

Other artists have publicly criticized Musk in recent months. In November, Billie Eilish called out Musk on Instagram, criticizing his lack of humanitarian giving. In January, musician Robyn expressed her dislike for Musk during an appearance on the Las Culturistas podcast.

Doja Cat is currently performing in Europe as part of her Tour Ma Vie, with stops scheduled in Barcelona, Paris, Berlin, and Amsterdam. The tour supports her "Vie" album, which debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 following its September 2025 release.
