Ella Langley Breaks ACM Awards Record with Seven Wins at 2026 Ceremony

Ella Langley won seven awards at the 2026 Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday, May 17, at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. She broke the previous record for most wins in a single year, which was six, set by Garth Brooks in 1991, Faith Hill in 1999 and Chris Stapleton in 2016.

Langley earned five awards at last year's ACM Awards. No other artist has won 12 ACM Awards in just two years. The previous record was 10, held by Faith Hill across the 1998 and 1999 ceremonies.

The ACM only counts awards won in competition toward its official totals. In some categories, artists can win two awards if they also served as producer or songwriter.

This year, Langley won female artist of the year, ending Lainey Wilson's three-year run with that title. Langley also took home artist-songwriter of the year, music event of the year for "Don't Mind If I Do" with Riley Green, single of the year (as artist and producer), and song of the year (as artist and songwriter), both for her crossover hit "Choosin' Texas." She and Green also shared music event of the year last year for "you look like you love me."

Langley is the fifth artist to win single of the year in consecutive years. She won last year for "you look like you love me" with Green.

Langley won female artist of the year just a year after winning new female artist of the year. She is the fifth woman to make this jump in one year, following Crystal Gayle, K.T. Oslin, Carrie Underwood and Lainey Wilson. In 2005, Gretchen Wilson won both top female vocalist and top new artist in the same year, when the categories had different names.

Shania Twain hosted the ACM Awards, which streamed live on Prime Video for the fifth year in a row.
