Jelly Roll's Weight Loss Journey Boosts Confidence and Transforms His Marriage

Jelly Roll's weight loss has brought significant changes in his life, but his wife, Bunnie Xo, says one thing has only increased: his confidence.

In an interview with Howard Stern on Tuesday, Bunnie Xo discussed her husband's transformation and how it has impacted their relationship. "He's getting his confidence back, and he's peacocking around," she said, according to People. "He's got a little strut in his step, and I think it's just the cutest thing."

Bunnie Xo also noted that weight loss can have physical effects for men. "I will tell you that it is very true that when a man loses weight, it grows a lot," she said, referring to the country singer's anatomy. She added that the change has been significant in recent years, joking, "Oh God, he's gonna kill me."

Jelly Roll, whose real name is Jason DeFord, has publicly discussed his health journey, revealing in a January Men's Health cover story that he had lost 275 pounds. He credited frequent exercise, dieting, and most importantly, a shift in mindset for his success. "Once I started treating food like an addiction, it started changing everything for me," he told the magazine. "When I started really looking at the source of why I was eating. What was I eating for?"

The Grammy winner has also been open about how losing weight has improved his sex life. In a December interview on "The Joe Rogan Experience," he said, "I couldn't even get aroused, I was so big. I was having to play Twister to have sex. 'Left foot here, right foot on the X. Are we in there yet? Tell me if you feel something.'"

During her conversation with Stern, Bunnie Xo, whose memoir "Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic" was released Tuesday, also addressed her husband's past infidelity. "When we went through that entire situation, I had to look inside myself also and be like, 'Why am I attracting these men? Because this seems to be a huge pattern in my life,'" she said.

"Not that I'm making excuses for him, but most of the time when men cheat, women want to point the finger," she continued. "I didn't want to do that. I was like, 'I really love this man' ... I just knew that something was so special in my husband and I knew that he would become the man that he is today. He just needed somebody to love him."
