Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau Debut as a Couple at Tribeca Festival Premiere

Katy Perry and Justin Trudeau made their first red-carpet appearance as a couple at the premiere of Perry's Lifetimes Tour concert film Monday night at the Tribeca Festival in New York City.

During a Q&A session, Perry spoke openly about her relationship with former Canadian Prime Minister Trudeau. "I am very in love," she told the audience at the OKX Theater, drawing cheers, according to USA Today. Perry described Trudeau as "the love of my life" and said their relationship helped her feel grounded during the demands of touring. "I fly super high. Sometimes I need to be anchored. To have that anchor finally makes me feel really whole," she said.

Perry previously dated actor Orlando Bloom. The pair share a daughter, Daisy Dove. About two months after Perry began her Lifetimes Tour in April 2025, representatives for Perry and Bloom confirmed to Billboard that the two had ended their nine-year relationship.

"Orlando and Katy have been shifting their relationship over the past many months to focus on co-parenting," their statement said. "They will continue to be seen together as a family, as their shared priority is - and always will be - raising their daughter with love, stability and mutual respect."

Trudeau attended Perry's Montreal concert in May, where fans spotted him in the crowd as she performed "Firework," her Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single. The Tribeca event marked the couple's official debut.

Perry's concert film features performances supporting her 2024 album "143," which peaked at No. 6 on the Billboard 200.
