COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) - Central Ohio's winter weekend lineup from Friday, Jan. 23, through Sunday, Jan. 25, 2026 features a mix of arts, sports, family activities and seasonal festivals that offer something for residents and visitors alike. With cold temperatures expected through the region, organizers urge attendees to confirm details and plan accordingly.

FESTIVALS & SEASONAL EVENTS
Columbus' Winter Ice Festival continues through Sunday at Franklin Park Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, with ice carving demonstrations, skating, fire performers, arts and crafts, food trucks and heated igloos each night from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Also ongoing through Feb. 15, Wanderlights illuminates downtown Columbus Commons and Bicentennial Park nightly from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., offering a festive walk through dazzling light displays.

At the Ohio Expo Center & State Fairgrounds, the Columbus Golf Show runs all three days, showcasing equipment, demonstrations and golf-related attractions. Over the weekend, the expo complex also hosts the Scott Antique Market and the Buckeye Cheer and Dance Championships.

MUSIC, THEATER & ARTS
Friday evening at Nationwide Arena, country star Jason Aldean performs with special guests - a hot ticket for music lovers in the region.

Classical music aficionados can attend Mozart's Requiem performed by the Columbus Symphony Orchestra and chorus at the Ohio Theatre Friday and Saturday night.

Local clubs and bars present live entertainment throughout the weekend, including dance parties, bands and comedy shows across the city.

For theatergoers, Short North Stage's "Come From Away" continues performances at the Garden Theatre through mid-February.

Sports fans can catch Ohio State University women's hockey clashes with St. Thomas Friday and Saturday, and the Columbus Blue Jackets host the Tampa Bay Lightning Saturday night at Nationwide Arena.
