TOMORROW X TOGETHER Announces Eighth Mini Album Release with Emotional Teaser

K-pop group TOMORROW X TOGETHER announced the release date for their upcoming eighth mini album, "7TH YEAR: A Moment of Stillness in the Thorns." The album, a follow-up to last summer's fourth full-length studio album, "The Star Chapter: TOGETHER," is scheduled for release on April 13.
The group revealed the news with a 1-minute, 45-second teaser video in Korean. According to a statement, the concept trailer "delivers a visceral portrayal of inner anxiety, weaving the members' visuals with evocative imagery of thorns and a solitary thorn figure. It is anchored by narration of lyrics from 'Thorn Tree' by the Korean folk duo Poet and Village Chief, deepening its emotional resonance. This thorn motif continues through the concept photos, serving as a prelude to the introspective growth and unfiltered artistry that define the group's new chapter."
The video opens with a shot of a bright pink, leafless tree against a white wall, accompanied by a soft voice in Korean. A translation of the narration reads: "Inside me, there are so many of me. There is no rest for you. Inside me are vain wishes. There is no place for you to be comfortable. Inside me, I can't help it. Me too. Taking away your resting place."
Black-and-white imagery in the teaser includes scenes of group members Yeonjun, Soobin, Beomgyu, Hueningkai and Taehyun tumbling in a white void dressed in black, as well as a thorn-covered shadow figure. The video, titled "When the wind stopped for a moment in the thornbush," also features a woman eating alone, a shirtless man working out, birds flying in flocks and various images of somber individuals, all interspersed with shots of the pink tree surrounded by smoke and the thorn figure at its center.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER's previous mini albums have performed well on U.S. charts. The group's fourth mini album, "minisode 2: Thursday's Child," debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 in 2022 and spent 14 weeks on the chart. Their fifth mini album, "The Name Chapter: Temptation," debuted at No. 1, while their seventh mini album, "The Star Chapter: Sanctuary," debuted at No. 2 last year. "The Star Chapter: Together," released in July, debuted at No. 3.
Further information about the new album's tracklist will be announced at a later date.
