Jung Kook Stars in New Calvin Klein Campaign, Channels 'Footloose' in NYC Record Store

Jung Kook, a member of BTS, is featured in Calvin Klein's latest campaign, modeling the brand's '90s jeans in baggy, relaxed and straight fits. The campaign was unveiled Tuesday, Feb. 24, with photos and a video showing the K-pop star in various scenes around New York City.
In the video, Jung Kook visits a record store and listens to different music genres, each transporting him to a dance-filled fantasy. One sequence shows Jung Kook meditating and watching waves at a seaside house. In another, he dances energetically in an orange room. The final scene finds him channeling Kevin Bacon's character from "Footloose," dancing to Kenny Loggins' 1984 Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 hit of the same name. The daydream ends when an employee, played by Rosie Perez, reminds him, "This is a record store, not a dance floor."
"I love Calvin Klein jeans because they're designed to be lived in," Jung Kook said in a statement. "The looks I wore for this campaign nod to '90s style while feeling completely modern. It was exciting to bring together my love of music, dance and fashion against the energy of the city."
The campaign arrives as Jung Kook prepares to release "Arirang," the first album with his BTS bandmates since 2020's "Be," on March 20. The group will launch its world tour in April, starting with a series of shows in Goyang, South Korea.
Jung Kook has a history with Calvin Klein, previously starring in denim campaigns in 2023 and 2024. In October, he drew widespread attention with a Calvin Klein advertisement featuring his abs.
