Morgan Wallen Pledges $1.2 Million to Gibbs High School for Athletic Upgrades

Country music artist Morgan Wallen has pledged $1.2 million to his alma mater, Gibbs High School in Corryton, Tennessee, to upgrade the school's baseball field, according to WATE-TV.

The donation, made through the Morgan Wallen Foundation, aims to renovate the field Wallen, 32, played on when the Gibbs High School baseball team advanced to the national championship in 2010. The field was renamed Morgan Wallen Field in 2025.

If approved by the Knox County Commission, the funds will be used to convert the field into a versatile, state-of-the-art, multi-use athletic facility. The school also plans to construct a softball hitting and pitching facility on campus. According to WATE, Wallen has previously donated to the school's band program, core program, basketball team, Gibbs Youth Sports and the Jefferson City Little League.

The Knox County Commission is scheduled to consider approval of the grant agreement with the Wallen Foundation during its April meeting. Wallen graduated from Gibbs High School in 2011.

Separately, Wallen appeared in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, over the weekend on the third stop of his "Still the Problem" tour. He was joined by singer Ella Langley for the live debut of their upcoming single, "I Can't Love You Anymore," which is scheduled for release Friday, April 24. Langley is set to join Wallen for additional stadium tour dates, including May 9 in Indianapolis; May 16 in Gainesville, Florida; May 30 in Denver; June 6 in Pittsburgh; June 20 in Chicago; June 27 in Clemson, South Carolina; July 18 in Baltimore; and Aug. 1 in Philadelphia.
