TOMORROW X TOGETHER and UNICEF Launch Global Campaign for Youth Mental Health

SEOUL, South Korea (AP) - K-pop group TOMORROW X TOGETHER is expanding its focus on youth mental health as part of a new global campaign from UNICEF's Korean Committee.
The campaign, "Together for Tomorrow," was announced at a press conference Tuesday, April 28. It aims to support the mental health of children around the world.
A video released with the announcement shows group members HUENINGKAI, TAEHYUN, YEONJUN, BEOMGYU and SOOBIN joining children on set. SOOBIN narrates in Korean, asking, "How are you feeling today? Rather than trying to change you, we just stay by your side." He adds, "Hard days happen, we've been through it too. Asking for help doesn't mean you are weak. Taking care of yourself and leaning on others for support is a sign of strength. Because together, we can be ready for a better tomorrow."
At the end of the video, the group and children shout the campaign's title.
In a joint statement, TOMORROW X TOGETHER said, "We will give our all to contributing to a society where the mental health and well-being of our youth can be nurtured and protected together."
SOOBIN said he believes the campaign can help build a brighter future. Bandmates YEONJUN and HUENINGKAI encouraged young people to recognize their feelings and seek help when needed. "We hope all young people can take the time to reflect on how they're feeling and remember that it's always OK to ask for help whenever they need it," they said.
The group will continue supporting youth mental health. In June, TOMORROW X TOGETHER will launch "Hearts Together with TXT: The Listening Room Hearts Together Playlist" on the Korean Committee of UNICEF's YouTube channel. Members will read fan-submitted stories and offer support.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER, which has landed 13 releases on the Billboard 200, began its mental health campaign with UNICEF during a visit to the agency's New York City offices in October. At that event, SOOBIN said, "Through our musical journey, we have learned that expressing emotion is a sign of strength. Now with our campaign with UNICEF, we want to help create a safe and inclusive space for youth to freely express their emotions."
During the campaign launch, the group's label, BIGHIT MUSIC, pledged $1.4 million to fund youth programs and efforts to reduce the stigma around mental health.
