Kyrie Irving Gets Hornets Fan Removed From Game For Heckling After Talking To Referee

Kyrie Irving got a Charlotte Hornets fan removed from the game for heckling after he talked to a referee during the Dallas Mavericks' game on Sunday (March 26). Moreover, the incident occurred during the third quarter, as the Mavs lost to the Hornets 59 to 52 in Charlotte. While play stopped during the game, Irving pointed out a heckler sitting around courtside in the stands to a referee. Later, the ref let security know, and they promptly removed the heckling fan from the arena. Two days prior, Kyrie shaded Mavs fans for booing them after they lost on their home court on Friday.




"So what?" the former Brooklyn Net said after the game. "Just the way I feel about it. I've been in New York City, so I know what that's like.Y ou obviously want to play well, but it's only five people on the court that can play for the Dallas Mavericks. If the fans wanna change places, then hey, be my guest. Got years of work ahead to be great enough to be on this level. But our focus isn't necessarily on the boos, it should be on the performance.

Despite his sentiments, their loss on Sunday brought their season record so far to 36 wins and 38 losses. Currently, they're tied for tenth in the Western Conference, and on the brink of missing the playoffs. Since Irving joined the team, they've won three games and lost seven. Addressing the reception to the team's performance, he attributed it to the team still finding their footing with each other.




"We're still feeling each other out in a way of getting used to each other's efforts and attitudes and temperament," he stated. "And that's a real thing. That's a human thing. That's a human element. Whether people believe it in basketball or not, there's a very fine line between winning basketball games and everyone being on the same page and losing basketball games and things splintering and pointing fingers."
