Lamar Jackson Reveals He Has Requested A Trade

Overall, it has been very clear that the Baltimore Ravens and Lamar Jackson are at odds. He believes he is worth over $40 million per year, while the Ravens seemingly disagree. Moreover, there is even a dispute over how much guaranteed money Jackson deserves. Subsequently, Jackson has been placed under the non-exclusive franchise tag, which has capped his value with the Ravens at $32 million. Shockingly, no other team has offered Jackson any money, and many are wondering if collusion is at play.

Fans are concerned about his future with the team, and other fanbases are feeling hopeful that their team can swoop in and get Lamar. Now, however, a new bombshell has been revealed. Just moments ago, Jackson took to Twitter with a lengthy message for his fans. Within this message, he revealed that he has asked the Ravens for a trade.

"I want to first thank you all for all of the love and support you consistently show towards me," Jackson said. "All of you are amazing and I appreciate y'all so much. I want you all to know not to believe everything you read about me. Let me personally answer your questions in regards to my future plans. As of March 2nd I requested a trade from the Ravens organization for which the Ravens has not been interested in meeting my value, any and everyone that's has met me or been around me know I love the game of football and my dream is to help a team win the super bowl. You all are great but I had to make a business decision that was best for my family and I."




He subsequently went on to say that he loves the fans in Baltimore and will always have a place in his heart for them. However, based on his words, it also seems evident that the Ravens do not want to make a trade. They believe they have the upper hand, and it has put Jackson in a position where he has to make public statements such as this one. Needless to say, this whole situation has become a mess.
