Leslie Jones On New "Ghostbusters" Direction: "Something Trump Would Do"

The next Ghostbusters film is coming but will be in a completely different direction than 2016's all-female reboot. Jason Reitman will be co-writing and directing the film and has announced that he will be moving away from Paul Feig's 2016 remake in the new offering.
Now Leslie Jones, who served as a leading cast member in the film alongside Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig and Kate McKinnon, didn't take too well to Reitman's decision and let it be known on Saturday (Jan. 19th) when she took to Twitter and compared the filmmaker's choice to one that could be made by Donald Trump himself.
"So insulting," she began in a tweet. "Like fuck us. We dint count. It’s like something trump would do. (Trump voice)”Gonna redo ghostbusteeeeers, better with men, will be huge. Those women ain’t ghostbusteeeeers” ugh so annoying. Such a dick move. And I don’t give fuck I’m saying something!!"
Reitman, the son of Ghostbusters original director Ivan Reitman, previously explained that he plans to expand on the original plot laid out by his father.
"This is the next chapter in the original franchise," he said. "I have so much respect for what Paul created with those brilliant actresses, and would love to see more stories from them. However, this new movie will follow the trajectory of the original film." The new film is scheduled for Summer 2020.
