Young Dolph Memorial to be Removed From Makeda's Homemade Butter Cookies Due to Safety Concerns
It has recently been reported that Young Dolph's memorial near Makeda's Homemade Butter Cookies in Memphis is set to be removed in the coming days.
According to Makeda's Homemade Butter Cookies owner, Pamela Hill, she has decided to keep the cookie shop closed due to safety concerns. The building's owner caught wind of Hill's concerns and decided that the memorial would need to be removed.
According to a member apart of Dolph's Paper Route Empire label, they plan to set up a new memorial in Memphis' Castalia Heights neighborhood.
"I understand you have to lease it out and run a business," community activist Frank Gotti told ABC24. "I understand it. It's his building, and nobody can argue with him on that. I appreciate him for keeping it up this long."
The news comes after one of the men who helped maintain the memorial, Jeremiah Taylor, was shot and killed a little over a week ago in Memphis.
